The sunny pearl of Sicily
Cefalú – a charming town in Sicily full of history, beautiful beaches and great cuisine. Perfect for relaxing, active sightseeing and camper travel!

Cefalú is famous for its impressive Cathedral (Duomo di Cefalú) – a Romanesque-Norman masterpiece listed by UNESCO. Be sure to climb La Rocca, a rocky hill with the ruins of Diana’s Temple and stunning city views. Other interesting spots: If traveling by camper, we recommend Camping Sanfilippo – right by the beach, about 3 km from the center. Prices: around 25–35 EUR per night with electricity (depending on season). Facilities include water access, showers, and a restaurant. The best way to explore Cefalú is on foot – most attractions are close. For farther places (like Kalura Beach), renting a bike (approx. 10 EUR/day) or scooter (approx. 25–30 EUR/day) is a good idea. Sicilian cuisine is a real treat! Must-try dishes: The easiest way is to fly to Palermo Airport (Falcone-Borsellino), then take a train to Cefalú (about 1 hour, ticket 6–8 EUR). Renting a car is also possible – SS113 road leads directly to Cefalú. Cefalú was founded in Greek times (5th century BC). Its golden age was during Norman rule – best reflected in the majestic Cathedral funded by Roger II. Fun fact: Cefalú served as a filming location for the famous movie "Cinema Paradiso". The area also hides stunning rock formations and caves! What to see in Cefalú?
